A referral is recommended to claim the Medicare rebate
Referrals from your GP last 12 months, but from another specialist only 3 months
Indefinite referrals are not accepted; this is to ensure your medical history is accurate and up-to-date
Consultations without referrals are possible, but you will forfeit the ability to claim a Medicare rebate (currently $84.15 for new appointments)
We are not a bulk-billing clinic; all fees are payable on the day of consultation

Cancellation Policy
We will send reminders through email and/or SMS 2-3 days prior to your booked appointment
If there is no response, your appointment may be cancelled and offered to the next person on the waiting list
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice attract a $100 cancellation deposit, which is used towards your next appointment

Dr Jane Li is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology (FACD). She received her Medical Degree with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne in 2010 having been inducted to the Margaret Whyte Honour Board and was included annually on the Dean’s Honours List throughout her medical school. During her dermatology training, she completed a PhD focusing on skin immunity and alopecia areata, under the supervision of Prof Frank Carbone of The Peter Doherty Institute and Prof Rod Sinclair. Since then, she has published widely in many prestigious scientific journals.
Jane gained her expertise and skills through extensive training at major hospitals in Melbourne, including the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Austin Hospital and the Alfred Hospital. In 2015 she was awarded the President’s Medal for obtaining the highest mark in Australia in her dermatological pharmacology exam. In 2019 she was awarded the Kossard Award for again obtaining the highest mark in Australia in her dermatopathology fellowship exam. For consistent excellence throughout her training, she was also awarded the Paul Eddington Scholarship and an international scholarship from the American Academy of Dermatology.
Jane has quickly established herself in the field of dermatology, and currently holds positions as a consultant dermatologist at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Box Hill Hospital, and the Skin Health Institute, where she is involved in GP education and teaching of dermatology registrars. She firmly believes in a caring, holistic yet evidence-based approach to dermatology.
Jane speaks fluent Mandarin, and outside work she enjoys travelling, reading and creative writing. She has three young children who keep her occupied when she is not working.
